Praxis:
Equipping Christians for meaningful engagement with society.
Promoting good practice in youthwork, community work and mission.
Our logo suggests new life in two ways, the first is a koru,
the new frond of a fern. To Maori it depicts new life growing
out the old. Praxis is the new generation of mission. The
second meaning speaks of THE new life. It shows the stone
that was rolled away from the grave, to reveal that Jesus
had risen from death. We are anchored in the new life offered
through Jesus Christ. Missionaries launched by Praxis will
engage individuals, families and communities and work to bring
about new life through personal, social and spiritual change.
Based in Wellington, New Zealand.

Appreciative
InquiryWorkshops
an organisaitonal approach to change
"Using the best of
the past
-- to create the best for the present"
|
Working from strengths is catching on as a valuable approach
to therapy and social service work. Appreciative Inquiry
is an ORGANISATIONAL APPROACH that has many parallels to strengths
based client work. Appreciative Inquiry offers a framework
for management, organisational development, training, strategic
planning and community building.
Originally developed in the USA, AI is being
used in NZ business, voluntary and church organisations and
communities. "The purpose of Appreciative Inquiry
is to build on the root causes of success, not the root causes
of failure"
